Why give? The simple answer is we believe everything we have comes from God in the first place. We give because we believe God has entrusted us to be leaders for hope in our church and our community.

Giving acknowledges God as the giver of everything we have (James 1:17).

Giving reflects our trust that God will provide for us (Matthew 6:19-24).

Giving allows us to be active participants in God's work on earth (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).

Is online giving secure with NLCC?
We have partnered with 'Tithe.ly' to host our online giving platform. All financial information is encrypted and stored by their banking partner to PCI DSS Level 1 compliant standards. PCI DSS Level 1 compliance is a set of rules stated by credit card companies and audited by an independent third party. It is the highest possible rating one can get in the electronic payment processing industry. Additionally, Tithe.ly forces HTTPS for all transaction services using TLS.

What forms of payment can I use to give?

You can give using credit or debit cards (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or AMEX) or ACH bank transfer. You can also record all of your offline giving (like cash and checks) easily through the admin experience portal.

Does New Life pay transaction fees for this?
Yes, NLCC pays 2.9% plus $0.30 per successful transaction on VISA, MasterCard, and Discover. ACH or Bank transactions are 1% plus $0.30 per successful transaction. There is an option that will allow you to add an amount to cover the cost of the transaction if you wish to do so.

What about a receipt and can I see history of my giving?

Absolutely! As soon as someone gives, they instantly receive an email with the details of their transaction. All giving history for each person is also tracked and available within the mobile app (can download from your App Store), giving your you instant access to check their records. Also, we will send out end of year tax receipts to all donors via email.

 

I clicked the “Give Online” button and nothing happens.
When you click “Give Online”, a new browser window will open up, make sure in your internet settings that you 'Permit Pop-Ups' from the site.

Can I schedule recurring donations?
Yes – you have many options for recurring contributions.  This includes one-time, weekly, bi-weekly,  twice per month, monthly, etc. This can be set up once you have signed up for Tithe.ly. 

 

Can I edit my existing recurring donation?
Yes. When you log in you can edit your Online Giving payment option.
